al borde de un ataque
some stuff goin' on ovah here...
VHKB
Thursday night was spent with Dan at the Deitch for The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black experience, where I vaguely remember images of turkey basters and naked women piled upon each other, and a child on stage that kept dancing around...reminding me of the Bebe Marie, by Joseph Cornell. I tried to take some fotos of the experience, but these drunk williamsburg fucks kept blockin' the view. I think sexy Armen Ra was on stage, but she wasn't playing the theremin. My, my, my what a sexy crowd indeed...
family time
This past weekend was spent with my crazy family down in DC...naturally, a detox session will be in place for all who were in attendance as there was tons o' eatin' and drinkin' and umm...yeah, you know that other stuff. Dani and I had to self-medicate for the chinatown bus ride down, so Friday night was spent at the family home relaxin' and catchin' up. Highlights were of a huge-ass brunch that had me taking a diabetic coma nap, having everyone wondering where the hell I'd disappeared to, them probably thinking I'd walked off into the bush of Virginia. As with every trip I make down there, I was able to meet up with some amazing people--one being the roommie of the hosts, whose guitar playing had my wanting to curl up like a cat near a fireplace. More on that later, and some more pics here.
v-day, part deux
I nearly wanted to vomit when I took an afternoon walk and stumbled across the scene above...could they have dyed it that color, or was it the blood of every *single* person, slicing away at the delicate flesh of the wrist? I'd like to think the latter, but the hearts give it all away.
v day
Valentine's Day wishes for all....
they come in 3's
A co-worker was the first to go back in November...cancer that had spread all over his body. Grandma was the second, passing away a day before her 80th birthday--the family joked that she was too vain to turn 80. Then there was Nina. That whore was preparing for the last four years and she finally did it.
Ah, such beautiful souls will be missed.
