b*tches are finally gone....
Phew...what a long weekend...Beck and R. came over from st. paul, mn. and helped me celebrate my b-day...a wonderful crowd attended and mine ear belonged to her for the evening...
The long weekend was pretty interesting, in that the girls didn't want to explore the city...it took them getting lost in crown heights to realize the importance of a friggin' map. We spent Friday roaming around the neighborhood and took in some dinner at los pollitos...sangria was pouring down my throat...lordy...
Saturday we walked over the brooklyn bridge and came across some indian filmmakers filming a scene for some music video...I caught a glimpse of this dreamy actor as we strode by. The afternoon was spent sipping ginger ale on the rooftop of the Met., overlooking the green blanket of treetops. Since R. was so pissy about food and not wanting to try anything *different*, I decided to throw the peace card and took the girls to Cowgirl Hall of Fame.
Upstate on the Hudson, DIA:Beacon was our sunday destination....even with the rain, the ride was dreamy. Beck read Rubyfruit Jungle to R. and I nearly wanted to vomit as they had their lesbionic lover moment. The museum has a pretty interesting collection, my favorite being the Richard Serra pieces that you can walk into...
Their trip wouldn't have been complete without a lil' visit to toys in babeland...needless to say, I couldn't sleep well that night from all the knockin' in the other room;)
let's just hope these b*tches bring a map next time...
